5th Way Point

I have just reached page 23 (on A4) in my book- first draft by the way- I still have a L - O - N - G way to go.
The finish line is miles away, but that doesn't stop me from being happy about being a 5th way into my book. (To be honest, I have NO idea how long it will be, but I am judging for about 100 pages.)

I am using up my notebook Fast but it is a whole lot of fun. Only 12 pages typed up though- Hate typing, always changing things,  but has to be done.

Career Descisions

There comes a point in all peoples lives where they have to make a choice as to what career path to follow. Of course, I want to be an author, but I also aspire to teach English to make my way. Apparently, we are not capable of choosing our own paths in life, though- so we are sent to a website that will choose them for us.

We have to answer 50-114 questions about what you like and dislike doing. It took the whole hour and not many people were exactly pleased with their results. From Florists and Yoga instructors to dress designers,  there was the whole variety of careers- but those were only the boys' results.

Personally, I got a funeral director and to work in a call centre, and I want too over the moon. This is teaching kids AMBITION?

Inspiring Poetry

                                                       I f
                                       the earth  were  only  a
few  feet   in   diameter,   floating  a
few     feet     above    a    field    somewhere,
people     would     come    from     everywhere   to
marvel     at    it.      People     would    walk    around   it
marveling    at    its     big     pools    of     water,     its    little
pools    and     the     water     flowing   between     the    pools.
People   would     marvel    at    the   bumps    on    it,    and    the
holes    in    it,    and    they    would    marvel    at   the    very    thin
layer   of  gas   surrounding    it   and    the   water     suspended   in
the   gas.   The    people    would    marvel    at    all    the    creatures
walking  around   the    surface   of   the   ball,   and   in    the   water.
The  people    would    declare   it  precious    because   it   was    the
only  one   and   they   would   protect    it   so   that   it   would   not
be   hurt.     The    ball     would     be      the     greatest     wonder
known,  and    people   would   come    to    behold    it,     to  be
healed,   to     gain   knowledge,     to      know    beauty   and
wonder   how   it   could    be.      People    would   love  it,
and   defend   it    with   their     lives,    because  they
would    some    how     know    that   their   lives,
their    own  roundness,  could  be  nothing
without    it.      If    the  earth   were

My Book

For the past couple of weeks, I have been writing a book. In the past I had tried writing a book, but this time, it feels more permanent this time. I am more determined now. I don't want to give the plot away just yet, as I don't have any copyright- but as soon as I have a deal with a literary agent, you will know about it.

Oh! And by the way- I need a name for a main male character. He is fourteen and an ex-convict. I would really appreciate any input and ideas!

Thanks xx
